Jonathan Adler callas himself a "maker" because he makes things. All sorts of things. I am a "designer" and there's not much I haven't designed or won't ultimately try my hand at designing. Quite simply: I make things intelligently beautiful. I've spent the greater part of my working life in branding and graphic design working for some some of the world's most widely recognized brands, but that doesn't fully define me as a designer.

Before my first daughter was born I returned to school to pursue my lifelong passion for interior design. To my delight, there are many similarities between the two professions. Color, pattern, layout and balance are of course all key characteristics of design, regardless of the specific application. More importantly, being able to pull seemingly disparate elements together to form a cohesive vision that wows the client and satisfies their needs is necessity in both careers.

And of course... born to be unique, I have blended those two fabulous skill sets into one amazing business: Demitasse.

The idea for Demitasse came about as a result of my experiences as a designer and mother of two lovely young girls. Most nursery designs and nursery products are either excesively bubblegum sweet or impersonally modern. There is clearly a void in the market for livably luxe nurseries that offer comfort, durability and glamour for growing families.

Demitasse specializes in nurseries that exude relaxed glamour. Rather than seeming out of sync with your lifestyle, the polished appeal you expect from the rest of your home is carried through in the design of these special rooms.

Unlike most interior design services, Demitasse is a remote styling program that allows us to work closely together regardless of your location. Via emails, calls, texts, pinterest and an online portal we work together to design the nursery of your dreams. Like a shot of espresso, this is remote styling at its finest: full strength design delivered quickly and efficiently.

What distinuishes Demitasse from other remote design programs is its singular focus on nursery design. As a designer, stylist and busy mother I have a unique understanding of the needs and concerns of families expecting a new arrival into their home.
